Our Projects

At In This Together Bucks CIC, we are dedicated to creating positive change in our community, particularly among vulnerable young people. Our projects are designed to offer support, mentorship, and opportunities for personal growth, with a focus on reducing violence and empowering youth to lead safer, healthier lives

Amnesty Bin

Our amnesty bin has become a powerful symbol of change in the community, having successfully collected over 1,000 knives. Each blade removed represents a step forward in reducing violence and preventing harm. This initiative not only helps make our streets safer but also provides an opportunity for individuals to surrender weapons anonymously, breaking the cycle of violence and offering a path toward a safer future for all.

Critical bleed cabinets

We have placed two Critical Bleed Cabinets and multiple kits across the town in local businesses, ensuring that life-saving resources are easily accessible in the event of a severe bleed.  Strategically located in high-traffic areas, these resources empower members of the community to act quickly in critical situations, potentially saving lives and minimizing the impact of traumatic injuries. This initiative is part of our ongoing commitment to community safety and emergency preparedness.

Mentoring & Outreach

Our mentoring and outreach programs are at the heart of our mission to support young people and create positive change within our community. Through one-on-one mentoring, we provide guidance, encouragement, and practical advice to help individuals navigate challenges and make informed decisions. Our outreach efforts focus on engaging with vulnerable youth, particularly those at risk of violence and crime, offering them a safe space to discuss their concerns and access the support they need.

Weapon Sweeps

Our weapon sweeps at local hotspots are an essential part of our commitment to reducing violence and increasing safety in the community. These proactive operations target known areas where knife crime is prevalent, working in collaboration with local law enforcement and community members. By conducting regular sweeps, we aim to remove dangerous weapons from the streets, preventing potential harm and sending a strong message that violence has no place in our community.

NOS Bin

The NOS Bin initiative is a key part of our efforts to tackle the misuse of nitrous oxide, commonly known as "laughing gas," in the community. Strategically placed in accessible locations, the bin provides a safe and anonymous way for individuals to dispose of used canisters, helping to reduce the harmful effects of nitrous oxide abuse. By offering this disposal option, we aim to prevent the environmental and health risks associated with discarded canisters and raise awareness about the dangers of nitrous oxide misuse.

As part of our ongoing efforts to educate the community about the dangers of nitrous oxide (NOS) misuse, we produced an educational film in collaboration with the NHS, Thames Valley Police (TVP), and Aylesbury Vale Academy. The film highlights the serious health risks associated with NOS, including its potential to cause long-term neurological damage, unconsciousness, and even death. Through powerful storytelling and expert insights, we aim to raise awareness among young people and the wider community.
