Services
At In This Together Bucks CIC, we provide a wide range of holistic, community-led services designed to tackle some of the most pressing social challenges facing individuals and families in Buckinghamshire. Our work is grounded in lived experience and deep-rooted local knowledge, allowing us to build trust and deliver meaningful impact. We specialise in engaging vulnerable young people, those at risk of exploitation or involvement in crime, and individuals experiencing barriers to employment or mental health support.
Through targeted mentoring, outreach, education, and early intervention, we aim to break cycles of disadvantage and empower individuals to make positive, lasting changes in their lives. Our services are built on collaboration—with the police, local authorities, schools, health services, and grassroots organisations—ensuring that our interventions are comprehensive, joined-up, and culturally sensitive.
Whether it’s through our pioneering community safety initiatives, employment skills workshops, or mental health awareness campaigns, we remain committed to creating safer, stronger, and more resilient communities across Buckinghamshire.

Mentoring and Outreach
Our Mentoring and Outreach programme is at the heart of what we do. We provide bespoke one-to-one and group mentoring sessions tailored to the needs of young people and adults who are vulnerable, marginalised, or at risk of criminal exploitation, gang involvement, or mental health crises. Our experienced mentors work directly within communities to offer consistent, non-judgemental support—building trust, promoting emotional resilience, and guiding individuals towards positive life choices.

We receive referrals from a wide range of trusted partners, including Thames Valley Police, children’s residential care homes, community safety teams, schools, and local organisations working with at-risk individuals. Our outreach is proactive and relationship-driven, with mentors meeting individuals in environments where they feel safe—be it schools, homes, or public spaces. Whether supporting someone at the early stages of vulnerability or helping them reintegrate after a crisis, our mentors walk alongside each person on their journey towards personal growth, stability, and independence.
Employment & Skills Development Workshops.
Our Employment & Skills Development programme equips individuals—particularly young adults—with the tools, confidence, and practical knowledge needed to access sustainable employment and lead fulfilling lives. We offer a range of engaging, hands-on workshops and training sessions that cover:
-
CV writing and job application support
-
Interview preparation and mock interviews
-
Job readiness and workplace skills
-
Confidence-building and communication skills

In addition to core employability services, we deliver specialist educational workshops designed to address the broader challenges that often act as barriers to employment and personal growth. These include:
-
Mental health and wellbeing workshops
-
Drugs and alcohol awareness sessions
-
County lines and knife crime prevention workshops

These workshops are delivered in partnership with schools, children’s residential care homes, and community organisations, ensuring early intervention and positive influence in environments where they are most needed. By tackling both practical and social challenges, our programme not only prepares participants for the world of work but also helps them make informed, safer, and more constructive life choices.

Community Safety Initiatives

At In This Together Bucks CIC, community safety is a core pillar of our work. We lead and support a range of community-driven initiatives designed to reduce crime, anti-social behaviour, and the serious harm caused by youth violence, drug misuse, and exploitation. Our approach is both preventative and responsive, focusing on education, engagement, and tangible action within the areas most affected.

Key initiatives include:
-
The UK’s First NOS Amnesty Bin, launched in partnership with Thames Valley Police, providing a safe, legal, and environmentally responsible way to dispose of nitrous oxide canisters.
-
Knife Amnesty Campaigns, offering safe disposal points and awareness events to tackle the carrying and use of knives among young people.
-
Critical Bleed Kits and Cabinets, placed in strategic locations to help communities respond quickly to life-threatening incidents while awaiting emergency services.

By working directly with residents, police, local authorities, and grassroots partners, we ensure our safety initiatives are not only visible and accessible but also informed by the real needs and concerns of the community. These projects have already resulted in the collection of hundreds of weapons and canisters, as well as an increased awareness around safer choices.
Partnership Working

We collaborate with local authorities, schools, police, health professionals, and community organisations to provide integrated support and ensure our services are aligned with local needs.
